Education

Peter J Shark graduated at the top of his class from American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, where he was awarded a Master of Science degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine. He completed a 1,000 hour internship, including time spent on the Rehabilitation Ward of California Pacific Medical Center where he treated patients with neuromuscular disorders such as spinal cord injury and stroke.

Peter Shark continues to study the classical applications of Traditional Chinese Medicine with the renowned internal medicine expert Dr. Ai-De Men. Mr. Shark’s studies with Dr. Men have included extensive education in gynecology, infertility, internal medicine and herbal medicine.

Peter Shark was licensed by the California Acupuncture Board to practice Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine in October of 2007. In addition to private practice, Peter works as an assistant teacher and tutor at American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Peter J Shark is the sole proprietor of Wood Tiger Acupuncture where he treats a variety of medical conditions. He specializes in difficult conditions that have not responded to conventional Western medicine. He commonly treats disorders such as insomnia, fibromyalgia, headaches/migraines, neuropathy, stroke recovery, menstrual irregularities, transgender health and digestive disorders with excellent results.

It is the mission of Wood Tiger Acupuncture to provide holistic, natural healthcare as the first line of defense against illness or disease and to offer to all our patients the chance of true, permanent healing. Peter Shark provides evaluation, treatment and education to allow all his patients to reach the most balanced and healthful state possible.
